I got caught on "Passe Patout" about 4 years ago when we had that big 2" snowfall at the intersection of I-10 and I-49, even made the news. Not that I wanted to ride my bike that day, my son just left in my truck after he couldn't get his started. Yeah, I was upset with him when we got home.

Not by choice, but yeah been caught in the snow several times. Take off in the rain and soon turns to snow. Actually the snow isn't that bad, it's the freezing rain that scares the crap out of you.

Really? My biggest fear is sliding out and getting squashed by a semi.

I was stationed at Norfolk Va with nothing but a motorcycle for getting around. Having grown up in San Francisco it never dawned on me that I might have to deal with snow. The biggest problem I had on my Yamaha was the throttle cable kept freezing. If I stopped the engine heat would thaw the cable out, but once I got moving the cold air would freeze it up again. After that ride I walked until the snow melted.
