Just to be on the safe side, I keep a copy in my saddlebag of the Federal law and of the Florida law saying that headlight modulators are legal.

If you're in an area where DOT helmets are required, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep of copy of the product description showing the DOT approval in your saddlebag, too.

 

I have 2(outlaw helmets) & I can't peel mine off.On both of mine the DOT is sealed under the clearcoat!!!

 

I told my wife if I can get the helmet company to send me anything declaring its legal I would keep a copy of that and the Ga law on me at all times.

 

There you have it, good ol american ingenuity! LOL

 

I know, I've got three of those and was just thinking WTF?

 

I think there should be a checkpoint for those damn minivans, biggest enemy of MC's here are those freakin things!

After reading that I went to look at my Outlaw helmets and your right, its under the clearcoat?

 

I put a dot sticker on my novelty. No problems yet.

Then again I wave to everyone on a bike, so the cops know I'm a badass and not to be messed with.

 

Mine is matte black, no clearcoat. The sticker pealed off.
