Before I got my Road King I had a Honda VTX 1800. I usually ride alone and sometimes ride with the same friends as before and have not had a lifestyle change that I'm aware of. Same job, same family, same responsibilities.

Well as I'm sure a lot of you guys will not agree with this but HD riders are a different kind of rider. Been riding metrics my whole life no respect from a lot of those guys. Not all of them but most . Bought a Harley and the doors of hd have opened. I mean this isn't a bad thing. But definitely change

I still ride with the same guys. Metric and Harley. And that nonsense about Harley riders being tighter and hog events is crap. I see countless metric club riders out on the road. The difference is they don't care what you ride, just that you ride. Most Harley riders I know are very snobbish to anyone who doesn't have a Harley. I think the largest "riding" club in the province is the northern stars and they primarily ride yamaha's. There are motorcycle clubs that have a larger membership however by definition they are 2 different things.

I hope you bought it because you wanted an HD instead of wanting to "open the doors" to the HD riders.
Been riding since legal age and never really gave a rats *** about what others thought of my bike or me. As long as I'm cool with it then its all good.
