Default #2 motorcycle? (non touring)

Hey all. I'm looking into a #2 for the misus and me to share.

So I'm considering three:

A) Dyna Fat Bob
B) Vrod Muscle
C) BMW 1200 GS

They are all totally different. But for me it'd be around town and back n forth to work. For her it'd be on us riding solo or perhaps a trip.

She couldn't pull the cluth on the FLHX w Rivera primo gold springs.

Anyhow just thought I'd throw it out there.

If I bought a GS I might need two. (off roading).

I've thought about another touring HD but then...

Ha ha.

My wife just started riding this past summer and I bought her a used Ducati Monster 620cc. Not the best bike for long hauls, but its as light as a feather.

you already have big bike to share.

get something smaller or "interesting" for you to ride solo

I have an FXR and Panhead which are fun for different reasons, one is fast, the other feels fast at 45.

BMW-? open your wallet turn it upside down and shake it--- there is a very, very small aftermarket for BMW parts and accessories.
They like to change alot for everything they sell.

My last BMW, every part I ever needed was priced at about 250% the equivalent H-D part

Great deals on Buell XB's. Same dealer if you need service or parts.

Funny, must be something in the water. I just bought a 2003 Heritage Springer Softail.

Totally different bikes, but both good at what they do.

FAT BOB. My buddy has one of those and it is fun to ride. I like all of the dyna's. Have a roadking for the trips and if I could have a 2nd bike it would be a dyna.

The GS is probably the most versatile bike made. It's not a dirt bike, and not really a dual sport either. It is an insanely capable machine for covering long distances in absolute comfort, and it's a hoot to ride.

My next bike will be a GS. I'd also love to pick up something like a Suzuki DRZ400 as a true dual sport.
