I bought a 7x14 well before the bike. Towed the bike when I moved last year. I use a j&s wheel chock with built in tie downs. Works for me.

I did that one time. Cost me a new axle. All the weight on one wheel was just enough to tweek the tube enough that the tire started wearing way faster than the others.

Otherwise the rest of what ya said is pretty much right on the money for the type of trailer ya got...

I have several of these wheel chocks. They work very well and are very inexpensive. Make sure you use the bottom hole for the pivot bolt.

Default Harbor Freight wheel chocks

I have used the HF wheel chocks (39.95) caught on sale to haul both my Ultra and my 39 Indian chief in a 7X12 with out any problems.I use the S track for tie downs and the spring clips to keep straps from unhooking from tie down points. One point to consider is to use the soft straps to wrap around the bike connecting points.

I have used many wheel chocks, and I like the recessed chocks the best. Back bike out, fold it down and you are done. Nothing to unbolt ,store, or trip over.

Tom84FXST - What is the brand of that chock and who sells it? I think that is just the thing that I want.

Lots of places sell them...the come in 16" and 24" to fit the crossmembers in your trailer...you need to know what your trailer has before you order.
