Default windshield or full face helmet?

I used to use a full face helmet and didn't feel ear plugs were required. I went to a 3/4 bell custom 500 and love the looks of it but I now wear earplugs because I don't want hearing damage. I'm wanting to know if I get the memphis shades fat windshield I'm looking at if that will cut way down on wind noise? Or should I just get another full face?

Windshields will reflect engine and road noise back at the rider. The wind noise will not change much.

The windshield on mine cuts the noise down a bunch around town but on the freeway I use ear plugs. This time of year I do both, the full face and the windshield.

If you need a full face, I have a nice one I'd sell, it's Black - Medium in size........ $100 plus shipping

very nice only worn a few (less than five) times, still like new.

If you want to prevent hearing damage you need earplugs whether you wear FF or 3/4, windshield or not.

Actually I have noticed that I have less noise with the visor up on my ff. But even with the windscreen earplugs should be used.

Been riding since '71...never with a full face helmet, a windshield or earplugs. No hearing aid yet.

I have a windshield on both bikes and there is much more wind noise on the FXST than on my Heritage classic. I use earplugs when riding the Softail Std and don't need them on the Heritage.

I dont think a windshield is going to reduce wind noise.

I always wear ear plugs with my half helmets.
