Parts counter people work on a commission basis, with a low base salary. If you are very fluent in MC's, and know a lot about parts to fit, could pay well. You have to deal with a cash drawer. Balances have to match at the end of the day.
I was asked if I wanted to move from shipping dept to parts counter. No go. I didn't want to deal with the money.

I do. I'm 20 years old so the money is great... I make more than most college students make. We work on commission AND an hourly base. Probably doesn't compare to what older guys with careers make though. But I dig it. Losing my weekends doesn't bother me, been in parts since I was 16 so I don't really remember what it's like to have a saturday off... lol . Cant say I want to do it forever though.
