Shoei MultiTech Helmet
About to drop some large on this helmet. Wanting the protection of a full-face but the versatility of a 3/4 open face so this "modular" offers both.
Anybody unhappy with this helmet? Was also considering the new Nolan but cant find it locally for fitment.

The Shoei Multi-Tec is a noisy and heavy helmet. I have had mine for 5 years or so. It won't function as a 3/4; if that is what you are looking for. With the chin bar up, it is very top heavy.
Still, I love mine...

I like my EXO-900 helmet. Goes from full face to 3/4 in a matter of seconds. Also, it's not too bad with the chin bar up. I like the under the chin wind dam, make a big difference when chilly out. Not too much heavier than my other modular helmet but MUCH better construction and air flow with the chin bar up. My other modular I really notice when I leave the chin bar up, with this helmet I have forgot that the bar is up.

I am very pleased with my SHARK Evoline 2 convertible which is the only helmet I am aware of that can operate at freeway speeds as a 3/4 helmet as well as full face because the chin bar flips all the way behind instead of sitting on top like a traditional modular helmet.

I've got a Shoei MultiTec and I'm happy with it. Don't have anything to compare it to though.
When I first used it I was a little disappointed with wind noise, but I'm used to it now and it isn't that bad. Wear ear plugs and it's perfect.

That's exactly how I feel about my modular HJC Helmet. I like it, but the chin-up position is only good for when you are not riding the bike (getting gas, talking with people, etc).
