queston for all you harley owners

RE: queston for all you harley owners
I bought mine because it was HD and I that's what my heart was set on. I didn't know about any community (like this one) at the time and I don't regularly ride with anyone specific. That being said I do have three friends with HD and we meet when we can.
HD has a mystique and sound coupled with a history that appeals to me.
Yesterday I was cruising down a county road at 75 mph. Turned off the radio and just listened to the Rinehearts. That's what I'm talking about.

Being part of a "biker community" was never part of the equation for me. I bought motorcycles first for function and then for form. Why Harley? Cuz I likes 'em. I prefer RUMBLE to whine.
As for belonging to this particular "biker community" - - - It's a pleasant distraction (most of the time) to wander into a place (like this) and chat with folks who have insight, similiar experiences, or differing points of view (ain't that the truth!) as an owner, rider, or even passenger. Around here the most active threads often appear to have nothing to do with Harley Davidson or motorcycles in general (excepting the 07 problem threads ). This forum, er community, is the equivalent of a barber shop or coffee shop on the information superhighway (cuz we'd NEVER talk about religion or politics in a bar, right folks?)
Now as for the validity of this "research"...

RE: queston for all you harley owners
Bought it to ride. Found a community. By the way, the community I belong to is bikers, not just Harley Riders. Most of the people in my club ride hogs, but there are a lot of metrics too.
