Talking what springer to buy

I'm looking at 2 Springers to buy
2003 Anniversary Springer Classic with 19000 miles
2005 Springer Classic with 2300 miles
What's your opinion on which to buy for future resale.
I like the 05 as it is pure stock
The 03 is loaded-Power commander-high flow air cleaner-true dual exhausts-chrome everywhere- mighty flashey.
Just wonder if i keep the 05 all stock it will be worth more when it's time to sell due to old age (mine).

I would do the anniversary, if you intend to keep it for several years. I see 100th anniversary things becoming collectible easily. If looking to ride and resell in a year or two, I would do the lower miles 2005.

Maybe on the black and silver. They were limited production, not so on the other colors.

Don't know why, other than the chrome springer and bags, but Heritage Springers hold their value more than a Springer Classic. BUT they don't make springers anymore, SO they may all be collectables in the future.

It shouldn't be about the re-sale value. The one that turns you on and the one you will enjoy the most, you have to take that into account. It's the journey not the destination.
I just couldn't justify paying the same money for an 03 compared to an 05 with lower miles.

I think the days of buying a Harley for future resale value are over. Buy the one you want to ride and it will still hold it's value better than other brands. But it will depreciate.

I would agree with you to an extent, but it depends on the model. Who would have thought that the Knucklehead would be such a premium? Taking a look at the 2003 Road King anniversary edition, for example. These things are not too much less for a low miles bike than the original sticker. I completely agree though, get it for the ride. But still, resale value is something to consider, just in case.
