Well, There's Some Good News, And Some Not So Good News …
The good news is:
The ankle's not too bad either, although I can't really walk at the moment. Went down the hospital for x-rays today; turns out nothing is broken, just badly swolen. BTW, the doctor was a very dishy young blonde!
I still don't know whether the car hit my ankle, or if the injury is from the bike falling on it.
I have a few days off work
And the not so good news is:The reason that I have a few days off work is that I had an accident, and my ankle is bashed up
I was coming home from work yesterday, going round a roundabout (traffic circle), and a car came in from a side road and hit me side on. The bike isn't too bad. It went down on the left side, so the usual stuff: bent shifter, primary and clutch covers scratched and scraped, damage to the clutch lever, footpeg, and saddlebag. It's at the dealer, waiting for the go ahead from the insurance company. The ankle's not too bad either, although I can't really walk at the moment. All in all, I would say you came out of it pretty well. Bike's can get fixed, body parts not always so much. Were you wearing good leather boots?

They are starting to put those roundabouts in around here. Some of my Wisconsin friends call them the Wheel-O-Death. They take some getting used to. Glad you survived.
