Bell is an American company and does all of its R&D and testing in California but, alas, no longer makes them here. That may be as close as you can get.

(Great helmets by the way.)

The sheep in this country created that by demanding the lowest prices. Think about that next time you're standing in line at Walmart.

Admittedly, that's over-simplified, but it's part of the conundrum. We also want the highest wages, which doesn't help in competing with outsourced manufacturing. Not to mention that a good number of Americans are employed in ancillary businesses.

Actually, if you look we still make some stuff. It adds time to the shopping trip, but read the labels. I was surprised by how many name-brand products were imported, and how many generic or store-labeled products were domestic.

Sure we could... but not with the profit margin of the one made in China.

There are web sites that list products still made in USA but I am not sure if I can post that here and not run afoul of the forum rules.

Exclamation Skid Lid?

Did you check out Skid Lid?
I have one, not sure if it's made in America or not though.
It's supposed to be, or at least it was touted to be when I bought it a few years ago, the smallest DOT approved helmet on the market.
I think I paid $35.00 for mine!
