Not when you running 11.7-1 compression and no release they aren't , those expensive starters most days don't do it . Kicker is easy if you know how to tune your bike .

My jockey days included drum brakes and mountains so maybe I'm a little biased

More than likely doesn't want to pull the heads off a bike that's running just fine.

Big inch shovels and that hemi high domed compression chamber & piston add a big *** .600 lift cam using the gas we have today will ping and knock like crazy over 10-1 comp , best work around and that helps with several little PIA problems is dual plugs . I'm a die hard backer of that set up on big shovel motors , take my bike as its configured now give it a good canyon run pull one set wired and and make the return trip there's a very noticeable difference almost like a 200lbs ghost passenger doesn't have the sharpness at the throttle , start's harder and of course knocking at lower rpm ranges & doesn't like to idle steady anymore .

Kicker and I got well acquainted in the 70's & 80's so it's no big thing for me no bad knees but that's a factor for a lot guys , I know my bike and tuning her has been refined down to fine art over 30 yrs we've been together .

Evo's don't benefit from duals near as much so comp release's are great idea for them , I'd lose ground .
