Flhtp cop tires vs. Touring tires???
My 2007 FLHTP Electra Glide cop bike is going to need a new front tire in the not too distant future. The existing tires on the bike are both PT type tires. The front tire D402F PT, MT90B16 72H. Seems that I read that the PT load rating is lower than that of a regular touring tire. Is that true? I also understand that the regular touring tire will mount correctly and easier on the police bike rim but that a police tire will not mount properly on a touring bike rim. Is that true? Will a D402F, MT90B16 72H touring tire (on average) give you greater mileage? If in fact it is better to run with a touring tire, will having a police tire on the rear cause any handling problems until a point in time when I need to replace the rear tire? Thanks for your answers.

I've heard the tires on the cop bikes are not made for 2 up riding, therefore a lower load rating.
I switched from the D402 to the E3. Supposedly the E3's get higher mileage.
