LOVE this thread. I am 51. I rode bikes since I was 16. When my wife and I got married I had a bike. But as we started a family ( 4 kids now and 1 grandchild) and as I started building my business we just had no time so all the toys went and we focused on raising a family. My 2 youngest are now in High School and so I mentioned about maybe buying a Harley. I shopped around and kept putting it off. Then one day my wife said to just do it. She said I was too frugal and too unwilling to spend money on a toy for myself but all these years of us giving and sacrificing and now it was time for us to have some fun again and if we did not do it now, then when? So I did. And now we are having a blast. I have a great wife for supporting me in this and the best part is she's enjoying it as well and we're riding every chance we get. I don't care what any one else's hang ups are and call it a MLC or anything else you want. I'll just look at you and laugh

Great title for this thread......Midlife crisis? So frickin What?

Well I started when I was 33. Mustang, metric cruiser. This year a Harley. Why is it that now you can finally afford to buy the things you have always wanted and some dick calls it a mid life crisis. How about a mid life escape. Who cares what anyone says. The only words I wanna hear are let's ride

I must be having an end of life crisis. Why else would a 70 year old buy a Vrod Night Rod Special.

Oh! Wait! I know to go fast!

Somebody once told me the definition of mid life crisis was growing the hair longer , riding motorcycles , Corvettes & chasing young woman , guess I dodged that bullet been my lifestyle since I left home at 17
