Midlife Crisis?...So Frickin What!

If you think about it, why would 40 be midlife. That would mean that you would only live to be 80 Now I plan to live to be 150 so I guess I have to wait until 75 to hit my midlife. As others have stated.....riding is keeping us young and is a stress release not to mention just plain fun.

Add +1 Started riding April '07 when at a marriage counselor the counselor asked "If I ever wanted to do something for myself" Well YES . Next Day I did and have put on 46K miles on (2) HDs (Sportster + Current Softail). To understand more you need to read my sig line.

Totally agree; saved my sanity too. They can call it mid-life crisis or whatever they want - they don't understand and that's okay 'cause they don't count. I discovered my wife was cheating on me and divorced her; lost my house and full custody of my kids in the process. Lost my job right after that, and then a few months later got called up and deployed to the Persian Gulf. Open-heart surgery followed. Then, lost Dad to cancer and found out Mom has cancer 4 months later. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEALING POWER OF A LONG RIDE.

mid life crisis?
Seems it's good for us, to kinda go crazy, every 30 years, or so, taking a fresh look at what is meaningful to us and making large changes in our lives, sometimes finding renewed energy in relocating or in a new career or relationship.
At 68, I want to ride while I still can.

I got one for ya, after 24 years of marriage momma says go away.
I retired from Uncle Sames Canoe Club in '98 and got involved with an 86 Choo Choo Customs el Camino to take up some of my slack time. It took up so much of my time I forgot I had a wife, who raised five great kids and put up with me for all that time while I was away.
All of a sudden I was alone. My friends said get a bike and chase girls. Bought my bike, sold the elky, after a year and half, my wife became my best friend again.
Here, to me, is the funniest part! I started riding to work. Every day. Rain or shine. In my area it never really rains, but ya get the point!
5 years later, over half of my department rides to work now.
But, I'm the only guy hat has The Harley.
5+ years and 70000+ smiles!
