Fatty. I'm biased, but I sat on a Switchback the other day and it has one hell of a comfortable stock seat! Just REALLY cushy. Makes the stock Fatboy seat feel like you're sitting on a slab of cement.

think is going to go with the Fatboy he likes the way it looks and how low the seat hight is. I bought Softail new in 1995 and love the way the looked but was not crazy the way they handled and it vibrated bad but back then I was young and my girlfriend liked it Now with the new counter bal. motor Im sure that they are a lot smother. I have had 2 Dynas sense then and loved the way they handled and not much vibs with the ruber mounted motor. But I just wanted him to get some of you guys opinions before he went out and bought one. Thanks for the help and he cant go wrong with ether bike

Just went through the same decision. Initially a pic of the Switchback is what made me think about getting another bike. Saw and rode it, but it just didn't do it for me. Loved the look and handling of the FB Lo, plus I have a SG so didn't need to be concerned about touring for the new bike. So...FB Lo in the garage.

Neither--I would take a long look at the Deluxe. Basically a very elegant Fatboy, but without that bloated way-too-large rear fender and real spiffy wire wheels. IMHO the most beautiful Harley made today. (And this comes from a Fatboy owner!)

Not crazy about Dynas because of the "surge" at speeds below 40mph, but if he really likes the Dyna, I think the Superglide Custom has it over every other Dyna in looks. You can get it in black, put on bags & a sheild, and still be a couple grand ahead with a better looking bike for what you get in the switchback.
