Jean/Boot question
Hey guys. This may be kind of stupid, but It ticks me off the way my jeans ride up over my half boots every time I go over 40 mph. Anyone come up with any innovative ideas to stop this happening. It only happens for some reason to my left leg, don’t know why.
I have the Fatboy, so there are floorboards, but I hate them, so I basically put my heals on the very front of them and that way my legs are well out front and I’m nice and stretched forward, the way I seem to be most relaxed and comfortable.
Earlier I actually attached a fish hook to the hem of the jeans and the other end to the boot. Worked perfect. But I got a feeling that my jeans are gonna be shredded in a few weeks. Lol
Any ideas, or am I just being totally **** about this?

Its these clips and a strap . like a little suspender, that clips on your jeans and straps around the boot.
you can find it at www.cruisercustomizing.com or jpcycles catalog and other major catalogs

Step 1: Put on a pair of socks.
Step 2: Pull a rubber band over the socks. Preferably a wide one, not too tight, that matches color of your jeans.
Step 3: Pull on boots then pull rubber band down over top of boots.
Step 4: Pull rubber band out and over cuff when you're ready to ride.
Step 5 Reverse Step 4 once you arrive at your destination.
Total cost = Less than $.10

If your jeans aren't rubbing on the ground they're probably too short. When you stand you want them to gather up near your boot. Also might suggest chaps (as long as possible).

I use ironing board straps. They have clips on the ends and about 6 inches of elastic in the middle. Clip them on each side of your cuff and put loosely under your boot like stirrups. They are about 3 bucks for 2 pairs at Walmart. They come in white. A little shoe polish takes care of that.

Having ridden these two-wheel beasts, as well as the four-legged beasts, for a long time I can say this - stack 'em! Which means buying boot cut jeans that are at least two inches longer than your measured inseam. My "normal" inseam is 36 inches, and I buy Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans 13MWZ, in 38 inch inseam. The other thing that will help is to get rid of the half-boots. Need the extra height for the pants to work right, (and also for a place to stash a blade and a piece).
'Sides, ya gotta wear full boots to be a man 'round these hyar parts; half boots iz fer half-men!

Boot cut jeans, high boots (at least 11 to 13 inches) and get rid of the bell bottoms !!
The drag off the bell bottoms will cut at least 10 mpg off your mileage.
