A word of caution with the brake Kleen........some states (NJ) have outlawed the sale of the good ol brakekleen in the red can and have gone to the brakekleen in the green can (more environmentally friendly) The stuff in the green can takes off paint.
My oil change trick is to pull the oil plug when the engine is warm, not hot and let the oil drain overnight. In the morning I remove the filter...
Seems like a good idea. I usually spend at least a couple of days doing a full service anyway, back and forth between the "Hog Pen" (my wife's not so positive name for my bike shed) and other tasks. Plus, I try to avoid getting in a hurry to do anything...
I've drilled a hole next to the bottom of the oil filter before and let it drain out from there before removing the oil filer! less mess, Ialso put a rag under the oil filter to absorb and spillage..
No need for a drill. Scratch awl and a quick blow from a small hammer and there's your hole.

Yep. That and a quick blast of water in the filter area and your on good to go. I have also used Gumount engine degreaser for this task too.
