They pulled a fast one on you. They knew that it was an FXDC, but marked it FXD with a higher price than they were planning on selling it for in hopes that some sucker would come in thinking they're get a good deal. They made a lot of money off of you and they were probably all standing around the water cooler laughing at the sap that paid $10,000+ for a bike he could have got for $7,000 on the private market.

You got a good deal. I got almost that much for my 2006 lowrider...but the guy who traded it probably got a good screwing. But, there usually a reason that things sell cheap. My guess is that the dealer wanted to move it out right away and probably doesn't get much traffic looking for a Harley.
