I might have to trailer it on down to Daytona.
Might have to stop in St. Augustine for a rest.
Could take a few days.

A couple buddies and I are going to attempt an iron butt going down on the 13th. We'll be there until Sunday and then taking 2-3 days heading back north. We may hit the Dragon on the way back. Definately praying for good weather.

Best of luck on the SS. Plan your fuel stops and put them as way points in your GPS. Don't think of it as 1,000 + miles. Think of it as smaller 150-200 mile leg between fuel stops. Quick stops are the key. You can't ride fast enough to make up for long stops.

Drop me a note if you want and I will buy you and your buddies a congratulatory beer Saturday evening.

This may be a useful map for those attending Biketoberfest...

I update the links/events as more info becomes available.

I'll be riding down from Mass leaving on either Sun 9th or Mon 10th.

This weekend was the 1st "bike" weather weekend in a LONG time here. Main St was fairly steady this Sunday. Highs in the 70's...perfect. Hopefully, this will be our weather for Biketoberfest.

Thanks for the tips Jonesee!! The longest any of us have done in a day is about 600 so this will be a test. 150-200 is easy - I will try to keep that mindset.

Sounds like a plan to down a beer with a HDF member. I'll PM you soon with my cell
