Hit thebutton and nothin but a bad grind. Looks like time to replace the clutch basket. Ill know more when I tear her down. It had a good run. 97,246 miles. Rant over!

You don't have to replace the entire clutch basket. Check out Compu-Fire's 1084 ring and pinion gear set. You just drill out the rivets from the ring gear on the clutch basket and slightly enlarge the holes and then screw the new ring gear onto the clutch basket. Finally, replace your starter pinion gear with the one in the kit and re-assemble. More heavy duty then the Harley ring gear and less costly then purchasing the clutch basket/ring gear assembly from Harley.

Their website said up to 06( excluding dyna's). Thanks for the heads up. I thought the 07's were welded to the basket. I'm just glad I was at work and not at a gas station.

I wasn't aware of their limitation up to the 06 models. I had the same thing happen to me and replaced mine with the Compu-Fire 1084. Did it myself and saved a ton of money. Hope you get what you need.
