My current # 1 choice is Fox Creek's V 1.8 leather jacket #2 choice Fox Creek's Vented Racing Jacket - also checking out jackets from Schott and Vanson - Didn't like the style choices Langlitz offers.

Anyone have either one of these Fox Creek jackets ? Like to hear what you think.

Opinions and suggestions also welcome..

I have the Fox Creek's Vented Racing Jacket and love it. It's top quality at a good price
and they have great customer service. I also have the perforated racing jacket for the
summer. They make all their products in the good old USA(VA).

 

I've got the Fox Creek Vented Racing Limited Edition (they have it on sale right now)
I looked at close to 100 different jackets and found this one to be the best value & quality for the $$$

 

They look great. I went to the clearance section and bought the braided one for my wife for $199.00 ! Now I have a Christmas gift for her. Thanks for the tip! Things like that make this forum great!

 

Opinion: You can't go wrong with any Foxcreek product. I have their Chaps, and the Classic motorcycle jacket I. When the jacket arrived in the mail the box weight was 13Lbs. a heavy jacket, nice thick leather, I love it.

 

I have the Vented jacket, thickest leather i have seen but comfortable. i would highly recommend it. The vents make it comfortable on a hot day as long as you are moving, and when you zip them shut it doesnt ruin the look of the jacket

I really like the V 1.8 but it does kind of remind me a little bit of a crotch rocket rider's sort of jacket (not a entirely bad thing given the Nightrains dragbar)s,I'm going to take a closer look at the vented jacket and see how they stack up against each other.

Info like this from you and the other guys who've posted is invaluable !

 

I have the reflector jacket. The reflector gives a little more visibility for night riding. The leather is thick and well made. Only complaint is the black dye seems to wind up on my hands. Overall great company, great product. I also own their chaps. Same high quality.

Velcro for closure or cinching systems is really not the best choice to use in motorcycle jacket design. Also, that vertical seam on the back of the 1.8 is not the best idea, either. Seams can open up in a slide along the pavement. The middle of the back, a primary abrasion surface in many mc crashes, is about the worst place you could place a seam on a mc jacket.

Interesting... I can certainly appreciate the old school closure/cinching systems,what's the downside to velcro for an MC Jacket ?
