Pipes that are so loud, they're obnoxious.

I read the whole brief too - and several things come to mind.
The old adage: "The Law is an ***".
Insurance regulation.
And the very last sentence: "No one in their right mind voluntarily surrenders complete liberty and accepts in its place a set of regulations. XX"The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion." Edmund Burke, 1784.
Sounds much like today's electoral process, no?
a.) the people gave it up, and
b.) there it is.

We have plenty of Birkenstock wearing, Prius driving, tofu eating tree huggers here in MN.
These folks want to sit on their decks of recycled wood and drink organic herbal teas from thier re-purposed jelly jars and quietly listen to the Prairie Home Companion Show on NPR without being violated by the sound of smog producing, green house gas emitting, scary, loud, god I say, fun machines.
Why can't we all understand this? Com'on Man!

That brief was something wasn't it? If anyone wants to know the Late Justice Warren W. Tolman served on the WA supreme court from Saturday, May 11th, 1918 to Monday, September 20th, 1937.
I sincerely doubt if it applies in today's world. Not sure I would want it to either.

I'll be honest and state...that on a work night, I don't need to hear the "sweets sounds of Harley Davidson" at 1 a.m.
I have no tolerance for *********.

Actually the "shoot em' in the face" quote was out squadron motto for a long time. I was in a combat squadron so no females and we had some pretty raunchy marching cadences as well. You should have seen some of the looks we got when we were marching to our barracks after a ceremony when there were other units wit females around us.

A question about this issue
Just bought a 78 shovel that's currently running 2" staggered straights. Way too loud, for me. Absolutely hate changing the look, though....any baffles anyone can recommend would sure be appreciated....or even better, small slip-ons...

I have. Guy pulled out behind me from a light the other night, came up behind me and the next light pulled up slightly in front of me in the left hand turn lane. Had these short pipes that turned out to the right and up in front of the tire. He sat there and blipped the throttle and I could FEEL the shockwave on my eardrum. First time ever for something like that and I didnt like it much.
