Question When is it time to trade?

Just curious.

How do you decide when it's time to trade?

Do you run it until it dies? Or trade every couple of years?

I am running mine this time until it dies and then bring it back to life... My other bikes were trade ups to get 6 speed transmission, bigger gas tank, and less heat and plus the dealer gave me 90% of my bottom line on the paper work when I bought my 09 so I was only out 2K!

In my opinion it's never time to trade. If you want another bike then sell the one you have and then go buy the other.

I've been buying a new bike every couple years but they've been a different model each time. My EG may be my last bike for awhile. I really like it.

Personal choice = many different reasons. If I'm satisfied with my scoot...will keep it until I ride another that's better. Pretty pleased w/my 09 FLHX right now so nothing for me in the near future...which could change...

I plan on keeping my bike for at least 5 years. By then there should be lots to trade up for.

I'll keep my Night Train until they make another bike that makes me say "holy ****, that's awesome."

I pretty much do it the same way I do my cars -
Buy them lightly used, ride (drive) until they start costing more in maintenance than they are worth, then upgrade.
Unless of course, you fall in love with a hot, young merlot or sunset red head that you can't keep your hands off.
