KEEPING My Harley and HAPPY ABOUT IT
Just read the 12+ page post about the OP who is selling his Harley and claims to be happy about it. His title of his post drew us all in to see just why he was selling.....deceptive advertising in my book. Due to his own poor financial decisions and living above his means his solution is to sell his ride and make us all proud of him. Sorry....aint buying into it.
After two failed marriages and raising four kids including putting all of them thru college, trying to keep up with the Jones so the wives could play tennis at the country club, paying off mortgages so the family could live in the right part of town, I am still working at age 62. I am keeping all three of my Harleys and not taking any **** from anyone who says otherwise. You only go around once on this merrygoround and I intend to enjoy SOME of it for ME!
Call me a selfish bastard if you want to but at the end of the day my decisions and choices I make are mine to live with. Boo-hoo!

Everyone has their own priorities. In defense of the guy in the other post, he didn't not say he was happy about it, just trying to be for the sake of getting out of debt. He was sharing how he was willing to sacrifice to get his fiscal house in order for him and his family.
However, your victim-mentality is quite clear.

you're not the only member of the selfish bastard club.
my OL is perfectly fine and supportive of my motorcycle habit. it is a huge part of who I am and without it, I'd be a miserable bastard.
there was a time though, when i was really broke and the only way to have a bike, was to buy one and ride it till it sold. fix up another one and sell it again....
I turned over about a dozen bikes till I paid off the initial investment and could afford to keep one.

Whatever floats your boat, or makes you feel better. Everyone has their priorities & these can change through life's journey. Obviously you hold material things higher than family...maybe that's why your life had many personal ups/downs...??? I'm not one to judge & to each their own - live it while you can!
