My wife has named my bike Christine (as in the movie), my first Harley was a 2010 Ultra Classic and I never put one scratch on it. My 2nd one is a 2012 Roadglide, and I have now put 3 scratches on it to include putting the the windshield trim was a pain in the a**.
An old girl friend when seeing my bike, at the time a 1982 FLHS, for the first time took a long hard look at her and said Hanna, she looks like a Hanna and that name stuck for better then 20 years. When I talk with Hanna's new owner he always refers to her as Hanna. I have'nt named the 2 Harleys I bought since owning Hanna, it just doesn't feel right. The newer bikes are more about being riding machines and not as personal an attachment for reasons unknown. I now intentionally avoid naming my toys, it keeps the wife from commenting.
