Just woundering when some companys are going to release 2012 exhaust for the new bikes? Thinking of just going with slip ons but i was looking a tVance and Hines black short shots they seem pretty cheap but they dont have any for 2012 because of the new o2 sensors!

 

I just put Short Shots on my 2012 Iron. Everything fit perfectly. They sound and look incredible.

 

Thats because there was no change done to the sportsters. Softails and other Big vtwins got a bigger engine 103.. and they changed the o2 sensors in the exhaust, so all the exhaust companys are scrambling to make changes so their exhaust will work for the 2012 bikes.

 

Pretty sure the O2 sensors on my '12 are the same size/location as my '10.

I'll hafta go out and take a look.

 

Another option is to get a tuner & plug the bungs...then you're set for now + future upgrades.

 

Fuel Moto's site indicates their 2-1-2 headpipe fits 2012 models.

 

nope, the threads are different. i know super trapp makes 2 into 2 for my 12 fatbob. the rest are coming oct 11. i am planning on getting a ST 2 into one and i am going to try and talk boyeson into making me an air cleaner/cover also. i live about ten minutes away from their shop . also i'd like to get an auto tuner but am undecided as of yet as to which one i will grab.

whatever pipe you decide on , give their shop a call first before you buy.

 

I know an 09 FLH uses 18mm O2's and my 11 FLH uses 12mm O2's. Plus they are located in a different spot on the pipe. Not sure about the softails though. Good Luck in your search.

 

My 12 limited now has SE Fatshotz purchased groom the dealer. The SE street touring slip ons I ordered in july are still on back order

 

I just went with American Customs. I'm happy with the stock look, just didn't like the sound. American Customs with the medium baffle are perfect.
