What was the last nice thing you did for a stranger on a bike?

Saw a guy sitting on his bike at a closed dealer one holiday, didn't look right so on a whim I pulled in and asked if he was cool. His jiffy stand spring popped. Never saw a zip-tie make someone so happy.

I usually stop and see what's going on when a bike is pulled over. A lot of times they say they got it, but I stay to see if they really do unless I really have somewhere to be. I guess this isn't the last, but I did se a guy that downed his bike. He had to leave in an ambulance, and he lived nearby, so I was able to ride his bike (in first gear) to his house up the road (followed his wife). I just walked back to my cage and went on about my binnis. Funny thing is that I was so lost! I was trying to find the back way to my friends house...still didn't ask where I was though...men...

Helped an older neighbor unload his new Honda out of the back of his truck...his eyes lit up as he took off, just recovered from a heart attack and first time he had ridden since...

Saw an old, old ricer burner on the side of the road by itself. Looked around and saw a guy walking across a yard with a helmet in his hand. I recognized it was one of my neighbors whom I had never met before. I got him to jump on the back of the Road couch and gave him a lift to the house.
Turns out he had a 70s era Yamaha RD350. Cool bike but not known for a quality ignition system.
I offered to help him go after it but he said it was pretty easy to load into the back of his van. He'd done it several times before.

Was out on a daytrip with the OL and when returning to our truck (Yeah, I know) we came across a couple of guys working on a Moto Guzzi (Nice bike by the way) and stopped to ask if they needed any help. The guys clutch cable had busted and he didn't have wrench that would fit the adjustment nut at the tranny. I retrieved my tool kit and had to use a small adjustable to tighten it for him. He had already rigged the broken end at the clutch lever. He was concerned whether it would hold up till he got home some 40 miles away. I told him to keep the wrench in case he needed to adjust/tighten again. He and his female friend and his riding partner (on a Dyna) were extremely gracious and thankful. Makes ya feel good for helping somebody out. He offered to return the wrench by mail.

Came across a couple with a map stretched out looking totally lost. There has been a whole bunch of road construction around here, even the locals are confused. I didn't even try to explain how to get to the road they were looking for, i took them to the road they wanted. Nice couple they were very appreciative.

saw guy on the side of the road with a large puddle of oil under his bike. i pulled over to assist him and he told me he jus changed the oil and the filter was leaking. upon taking a gander at it, i saw there was 2 gaskets on it. he didnt realize the old gasket stayed on. i was able to remove the old gasket then i rode to the nearest parts store for oil and a large can of brake cleaner. he was able to ride away without calling the tow truck.

Funny you ask actually, today on our local vets ride an SUV pulled out in the middle of the police escorted ride (there were about 1,000 bikes). Didn't hit a bike, however, him pulling out caused a bike to go down trying to avoid him. The SUV pulls around the downed bike and tries to take off. I jump out in the road and parked my bike right in front of him. Stopping all traffic, I didn't give a rats *** - that guy was not getting away. He acted as if because he didn't hit the bike, he didn't do anything wrong. He decided to scream to the cops about me "arresting" him. I tried telling him that I have every right to keep him from leaving. The cops said the same thing. The downed biker ended up going to the hospital in an ambulance. I didn't know the guy and wasn't looking for a thank you, just did it because if it had happened to me I would have wanted someone to stop him too.

Paid for dinner for three Marines at Denny's last week. Didn't tell them. Just walked passed their table and shock their hands didn't say anything but "thank you." Went to pay for mine and my daughter's dinner. I told the lady to add the Marines bill to mine. I asked the lady to tell them their bill and tip was paid for by someone who appreciated their sacrifice. I got into my car and my daughter leans over and tells me I was a "good guy." I smiled and told her not to tell anyone, or I would have to kill her…
