Exclamation I need a lift (a motorcycle jack)

Hey guys. I am desperately lookin for a reliable jack for my 2002 HD Softail. I can't trust the p.o.s. Sears jack that I bought anymore…

I'd like at least a lift of 12 inches. Any suggestions?

I already have the Sears lift and it makes me nervous every time I put my bike on there. Too much wobble. Thanks though. I'm willing to shell out a couple hundred if necessary.

Two of the best/most recommended:

- J&S: http://www.jsjacks.com/
- PitBull: http://www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com/

Both are heavy duty, expensive, but awesome quality. I own the J&S & use it pretty much daily.

Just got the J&S a few weeks ago. Last weekend I had my Road Glide up as far as it would go, no straps, no wobble, no worries at all. Excellent product. Once in a lifetime purchase, honestly.

Don't care what you buy if it isn't used right and some common sense exercised everything is going to be a piece of **** . All the brand fanboys have got to have most popular which = the most expensive and said and done it's just bragging rights nothing else . I've been using the basic bike lift jacks since they first hit the market 30 plus years ago and I've built a few also they all work the same what's the problem ? All the bottle jacks come from China on all of the fucers anymore .

I use the Sears yellow jack, the professional series and I think its great.

When you jack the bike up you need to let it back down against the safety lock.

I noticed right away it was much more stable down against the lock.

I would buy one again. Got it on sale for $149 if I remember correctly.

harbor freight yellow one got it on sale for 99 and it is good so far. Just one thing it is a bit backwards you have to push the pedal all the way down to let it down easy. just the opposite of what you would think you have to do, if you try to feather it the bike drops. I have had my 04 soft tail up on it at least a dozen times in the last 3 months and no problems. some folks have had probelms with the jack leaking from what i have read but so far so good. like above let it down against the lock to take the weight off once you have it where you want it.

I also own the J & S Jack. I don't know what I'd do without it...well worth the money! Actually, I saw they're giving one away on their website right now through their Facebook page:

Thanks for all of your suggestions guys. I've heard of J&S Jacks before and am leaning that way. To the guys that have one of those - how's the customer service? That's what I'm really regretting about my cheapo jack purchase.
