Most I've talked to about plugs say don't over think it.

I did pay the little extra for SE wires $4-5 dollars more, but not the plugs.

Did they make any difference?

I'm sure the plugs are a rebadged plug made by a major manufacturer at a higher price. Find out who manufactures them and buy them direct.

SE plugs and wires are for heavily modified track machines. They can actually cause a street machine to not run as well. Check my sig, stock plugs do just fine.

It's just a spark... it ain't gonna Phuk anything up ...Not unless you change the amount of spark generated by the bike... I think they just last longer... The platinum or iridium tips don't seem to deteriorate as fast. but as far as performance... again it's just a spark.

I have found that certain vehicles hate certain plugs, but I have never found a case where a set of plugs make the vehicle run better than it did with the factory plugs.

I'm running SE plug wires on my 883 (needed short plugs due to a coil re-locate) and the bike runs just the same as it did before.

Platinum/iridium plugs will last longer. Performance wise they are the same as stick

Yep,thats about the only thing.
Now if your one of those that like to change the plugs every 2500 miles, they will be a waste.
