Bright Ass Light Backlash???
#74
Had mine for going on 4 years...max intensity...continuous flash. I also run a modulator. So, I'm flashing all over the place. Big believer in both. No incidents of disgruntled cagers.

I too have the BAL-1 on my 2006 RKC and it is set at medium intensity with the strobe to solid on braking. I also have installed the wiring kit that lights my rear turn signals as running lights. I originally had the red lenses on those, but after numerous complaints from other riders that my brake light was always on, I put the amber lenses back on and no more complaints. two days ago, my wife was behind me in her car and she could tell my bike from about 1/2 mile away!!! I believe this combo also makes me more visible from an angle as well.

BAL-3 on my FLHX for the last 2+ years, set at medium intensity and the four flash then steady brake pattern.
I notice people stay back further than before adding the BAL taillight. If I'm the last in line at a traffic light and I see someone coming up behind me, I'll let the tail light flash a few times by using the front brake lever.
Well worth the cost for the BAL taillight, it's a high quality product made in the USA.

I just ordered the BAL-1 taillight for my Road King and I know from the reviews here that it is very bright. I was wondering if anyone with this light has experienced any backlash from cagers for having, well... a bright *** taillight. Has anyone had anyone try to cut them off or "buzz" them for "blinding" them with their taillight?
Thought I'd ask to see if this is something I should expect.
Thanks!
