Got stuck following guy with one the other night. Too bright for me, I could not stay behind him for very long at night.

Over a year now, and the only thing I had was a guy in a PU Truck come along side me. All he said was where did you get that light.....I want one for my ride.

Is everyone getting the BAL-1 or the 12 LED BAL 2? the Bal2 cost about twice as much as the BAL1, is there that much of an advantage to te BAL2?

The 12 LED BAL-2 is approx. twice as bright as the BAL-1. For 95% of riders, the standard BAL-1 will be more[ than bright enough.
The reason I got the BAL-2 is I felt living in Las Vegas I needed all the help I could get competing with the uber bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip.

Did you get off your bike and stab the guy?

Group rides I am always the last bike.
When riding around town, one stop light is the most someone will be behind me. Either they turn or pass me quickly. Only one rider has stopped to ask what they were and where he could get them. No negative comments from cars or bikers.

I have the Bal-1 and the only responses I get from other bikers is where did I get it cause they got to have one. Cages stay off my rear although as previously posted no one likes riding behind me but I always ride behind my wife or ride sweep in group rides.
I put the HD brake run turn module on both our bikes with modification to disconnect running lights from being on cause there was not enough difference in brightness and keep getting told my brake lights were stuck but not any more
Love the BAL and wouldn't have a bike without them
A friend was rear ended on his bike a while back and wished he had it on his bike but does now
