For that matter, absolutely.

Again because you have an EVO, talk to anyone with a PAN or SHOVEL and they will say it died with your engine. My friends EVO Heritage sounds no better than my carb'd TC 88.

The older they are the better they sound. Twinkies sound like Hondas.

Then so do EVO's because they sound almost exactly the same. I've owned an EVO and a Twin Cam 88, both carb'd, very little difference in sound. A shovel granted sounds a lot different. You're trying to get your EVO into that same classic realm as a Pan or Shovel but it ain't there yet, it's just old.

I too can get a really slow lope at idle with my carbed TC88. May not be a shovel or and Evo but its the closest thing in my group of riders that sounds remotely reminiscent of a Harley Davidson...and it sounds great to me.

Yes, I guess a carbed TC can sound close to an evo, not the same, but close. Neither will ever sound like a Shovel.....

Shovel dude with ninja feet!

yup my evo just plain sounds great! ive had a twincan carb and efi, and the sound on the evo is just more classic both at idle and through the gears. its hard to explain in writing you just have to ride one, they are just sweet engines!

Baloney. My '03 FXST carb'd 88 sounds pure Harley. Has a cam and the S 1 setup. My S 3 '07 Fat boy has its own sound and it is pure badass, just not potato-potato...
