+1.......I'm not sitting behind a big rig or farm equipment when the road ahead is clear and I can pass safely........double yellow or not.

It's all a self flagellation exercise even having a debate about this , in here is all rules and what " I would do " key pounding . Out there in the real world it's road rules and those can change by the second when your on a bike and that children is the reality of it .

Usually only if someone in front me is going below the speed limit. Also, I will pass if I notice they aren't paying much attention to the road (looking around for streets or just sight seeing), I would rather just get the heck away.

No never.... well there was that one time....It's illegal and not the smart thing to do....ooooya another time there was a slow guy so I had to go....but no never.
