Default HID HEADLIGHT

Anyone using one of these? I am thinking about getting one. Does it require dealer install?

I just put one in two weeks ago, it pretty simple to install, you just have to get the the back of the housing. If you have a dresser with a fairing you have to pull the fairing off, and it right there. Let me know if you need more detail, I might even have a pic I could show you.

How is the lighting. Is it brighter than the stock one? I have a friend that has a BMW with this type of headlight and it seems to be 10xs brighter than mine.

O4harleyboy-- Which light did you install. Are you talking about the Kuryakyn light?

I just went up to the dealer and got the one they had there, it wasn't the Kuryakyn, but it is an HID ($25). Yes it is brighter, hard to say how much, I could see fine with the old bulb, I was looking to get a bulb that would get me noticed more (by the cages) when I drove at night. But I can tell you this, there is a huge difference when I hit the high beam!
I'm sure they do make them for the 02 Lowrider as well, I had one in my 04 Dyna Superglide Sport.
As far as the install, its the same as changing a burned out bulb. The key thing is to not touch the glass portion of the bulb, the oil from your hands will cause the bulb to fail prematurely.

That's what happends when you have oil in your hands...Prematurely

I want to get passing lamps but it might be cheaper if I go with the HID Light!

Thanks for posting this I was going to ask the same Question!

25.00??? The kit I was looking at is over 500.00. Maybe we are talking about two different lights.

That has to be a different kit, I just installed the HID bulb into my exisiting projection headlamp, but on my Dyna, I put it in the factory headlamp, which was not the projection type.....It is still is a very bright - white light. Not sure what kit you are talking about, do you have a link?
