Saw the first bugs today, had about 10 on the bike in a 120 mile ride here in south La..
Hope they don't get as bad as they usually do.
Can be a real pita.

took part in the Jason Burnett USO Memorial ride this weekend and ran through a few. The windshield seemed to take the brunt of them. The batwing and lower fairings weren't too bad.

I remember taking the wife and kids to Disney around this time of year a few years back and Florida was infested with them. Being from up north, I had never seen anything like it. I would have thought Disney would spray or something for the comfort of their guests. I don't know how southerners get used to all those bugs.

they dont last long, they move in fast and are gone just as fast. one day we will figure out where they come from and where they go, and put a stop to the foolish travels of the bugs.

I was in Florida a couple years ago this time of year and they were bad. I have herd that they are in South Carolina but so far I havent seen them yet. Someone told me they were imported to eat another pest bug but then reproduced like wildfire. He says thats why they call them lovebugs...They fly UNITED!!!

Ya damn sure can't leave them on your paint, the acid they contain will pitt your paint really bad. I try to limit my riding when they are out, unless I'm riding North. They don't seem to go north of here, south of here and their thick as thieves!
