Default Street Glide vs Road Glide

Im looking into purchasing a second bike here soon. Probably going to buy a salvage and rebuild actually. I ride a lot, and its a good mix between interstate and curvy back roads. I also lug around a lot of stuff everytime i get on my bike because im not sure when ill be back home for the day.

The point is, im stuck between a Road Glide and a Street Glide. I feel like everyone and their grandmother has a Street Glide, but the fixed fairing thing on a Road glide might be kind of odd. I just wanted to get the opinions of those of you who have ridden both bikes? Pro's and Con's.

I know everyones opinion will be different, but thats what im looking for, different points of view!

The rg is a functional ride. Sg is more about looks. depends what you want. If I had to do it again, I'd buy the rg again. I have no regrets.

Default Road Glide Here

I bought the RG because I like how it looks, besides like you say, everyone has a SG, I just don't like being like everyone else. The fixed fairing is not as big of deal as everyone makes it, you get used to it.

i love the RG. I do think that the SG is maybe a little sleeker, but i like that the RG is different! I really need to ride an RG before i buy one though.... that will be one of the final deciding factors!

Test ride them. Then make a choice.

I'd still get the SG no matter how many have them. Batwing is timeless.

Both are great bikes. Of the two, the RG is the better handling due to the mounting of the fairing. I'm looking to add a second bike as well, and the RG is the one I'm going with.
