Non MC or RC Vest Pic's

How do we educate the uneducated that there are posers with fake badges and pins acting like hard asses?
Could you please describe to us the steps you use to differentiate these fake badge and pin wearing posers from the actual hard *** bikers with the same pins and badges?

The point is people who don't ride don't know any better between a real MC member and some guy who throws a vest together and tries to act like a tough guy because he knows people won't know any better and he can try and play the part. It's this second guy who is a cocksmock.

+1 -- don't personally care for the pins (too frigging heavy!) but I do sport patches for places/events I've been to. I do not ever add a patch that I have not earned -- IOW, if I didn't ride to that place/event, then I don't wear the patch. JMO...

I used to not be a vest person either, then after trying
it for awhile it did actually serve a purpose for me
anyway. It was noticably different on the amount of
tiredness from the constant wind on the torso after
a lengthy ride. I seldom ride without a vest now, what
works for you is just that. What works for you.

it's pretty simple there's the guy who adorns his vest with pins and patches because they have meaning to him, nothing to do with trying to look like a hardass. Then there's the guy who buys a vest, buys a bunch of meaningless patches, pins of whatever flair he thinks looks cool or tough and wears it and acts the baffoon and like a tough guy in local bars or other areas where people who don't ride are likely to mistake him for an MC member or something. They are two totally different things.

I believe they have a function in keeping your shirt from pulling up over your head, and for putting all your pins and patches on....jmo
