Default Gas Splash

I pulled into an Exxon station by my house that I never went to before and what a disaster. The pressure coming out of the pump was so damn strong the gas splashed the bike and me. Needless to say I was a little pissed and didn't bother trying to fill up the rest of the way. It was so strong you couldn't even try to feather the trigger. Thank God the Harley does a great job of clear coating their tanks and it cleaned right up when I got home. Anybody else ever experience uncontrollable gas pumps like that before?

Some stations here are like that too...I always get a wet paper towel and have it in my hand just in case some gas spills onto the tank. It almost always does. I am just ready...

Forget that wet paper towel. You might as well use some sandpaper on your paint, especially black.

I usually try to keep a soft towel handy.

Happens all the frickin time.

I've got a coupla favorite gas stations and particular pumps that I try to use all the time cause I know that the gas flow is controllable at these pumps.

Good Luck

Try not to be HE-MAN at the pump, I always ease on the pump untill I find a nice slow flow and not fire hose pressure.
