when i spill fuel on my tank- i just let it evaporate. no use in scratching the paint trying to dry it off.

No problem with pressure here just problems with prices.

RE: Gas Splash
The first time I splashed my bike, I grabbed a few paper towels to wipe....[:@] ~~~>bad bad idea!!! I had instant swirls, and was pissed...but needless to say, when I came home, I waxed and buffed the bike... and they came out....so I learned my lesson!

I have had the opposite problem filling my F250 Powerstroke. At one place it takes 20 minutes to fill 25 gal tank. I can pi#$ faster than that! But, yes I have splashed the bike a couple of times.

RE: Gas Splash
flackdog, I too have a F-250 Powerstroke, 1996 model. there is a fix for that body style for the vents on the tanks. It involves using rv vent valves, larger hoses, and tapping into the fill necks(two tanks), and removing the inner fill hose. You can find it on www.thedieselstop.com. Cost was less that $50.00 and about 4hrs. labor. It takes about 10 min. to fill the tanks compared to 20 min. before.
