Best place to buy tires for your Harley..good quality?
I need to retire my Fatboy, have usually just gone to Harley for it..but the price i got this time for 2 tires with mounting and balance was incredible. I have a place to ge tthem balanced and mounted and would like someone to steer me in the direction for good tires at a reasonable price. Doc

Last time I bought a tire, I did a pretty complete search of the net and ended up buying from http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ .
They had the best price and didn't charge shipping. A lot of places have a good price but then gig you for shipping.

Just make sure you're getting the same tire from Jake Wilson as from, say, Dennis Kirk. For my touring bike, the Metzeler rear tire at Jake Wilson does not carry the same load rating as the one I can get from Dennis Kirk. I think prices are up, too. The tire I bought in April 2010 for $107 delivered was $130 in August 2011.
