Talking Heartland USA Dyna Conversion Kit

Hi Everyone, if you know Heartland USA then you know we specialize in wide tire conversions kits for Softail model Harley Davidson's. Well times are turning and we have been working really hard over here at the shop on 2 new conversion kits for 2006-present Dyna models. The first one is a 240 conversion and the second is a 200 conversion.
What do you think? 200 or 240? Give me some feedback . I would love to here your opinion on these new conversion we are about to launch!!!

Well, considering many Dyna owners are able to fit a 200 rear tire under there stock fender, I'd DEFINITELY say go 240. Go big, or go home, right? Many of the Dyna owners have converted to a 200 rear with very little, inexpensive modification.

Glad to see more options for Dyna's! Keep up the good work.

Heartland,

Wish you success with your new product line.

In my mind it is going to depend on pricing.
I think a fair priced 200 kit would be a real winner, something with a relatively easy install etc...This would be my preference for a wide tire of the two. Something still usable in the turns.

I think a 240 would look badass and perform like a couch. The reduction in performance is something I wouldn't be willing to accept let alone pay for.

Cant give you much more feedback, but I think it is great that you are focusing on the Dyna line.

Much success with your launch!

Cheers,

Tom

Here is a pic I snapped of the Dyna 240 kit when I visited their shop last week. It is a gorgeous kit and the parts are designed so well. It is a rarity to actually find a company that values teh aesthetics of a product as much as Heartland does.

I am the number one seller of Heartland products here on the forums and am here to serve you. Email me at drew@drvtwin.com, pm me or call me at the shop and I can answer any questions you might have.

One main reason Dyna guys choose Dyna's over Softails is because of the improved handling. Big tires reverse that advantage. I am not one to talk as I put a extended Springer on my bike which does nothing but decrease the bikes ability to corner, but I am in a very small minority. You may sell some kits, that's for sure, but I think you might be coming a tad late to the game. The car tire scene is all but over. People just aren't wanting balloon back tires like they did 10 years ago. Look at the recent introduction of the Blackline as an example. I do wish you luck as it sucks so few people make cool stuff like this for Dyna's. Thank you for not forgetting Dyna's.

I think where you are missing the boat is with the 05 and older dynas, on 06 and newer you can get a h.d 180 or 200 rather easy and pretty low price i would love to be able to put a 180 or 200 on my 05 wideglide, also the big tire craze as come and gone there are alot of guys with bikes like mine who would kill to have the 180

Take note HL, 180 kit for 05 and down dynas. I have a couple of buddies who ride 05 and down dynas if you need a mock up bike.

I think a 240 would look pretty mean on the right styled Dyna. I also think a nice fender option for a 200 would be nice. If it was possible for you to sell a new fender for a 200 that came with your struts but sill worked with a stock seat I would be interested in it.
