Any one ever had their Harley stolen?

Not a Harley stolen. In 1988, I bought a brand new Kawasaki Ninja, 600.
I added about $2,000 in custom mods at the dealership.
I had the bike about 2 months, and kept it parked at night on my porch, next to the front door.
Got up one morning, grabbed my helmet , walked out the door, only to find my bike gone, and the ignition pulled, laying on the ground a few feet from where the bike was parked.
They found the bike about a month later, totaled, and dumped in a wood line off the side of the highway.
I had to pay $800 to have the bike totaled, due to depreciation.

Not a Harley...As a kid, My dad bought me a '73 Rupp Enduro (Red) and had it for a year then somebody stole it. Then dad bought me a '74 Rupp Scrambler (Green). Had it for a while before I moved up to Can-Am 125. Good ol' days, but thieves have no purpose to live on this Face of Earth. They need to be shot to their deaths.

When I was a kid I had a Suzuki motocrosser stolen from a shed behind my folks house. I could see where it was walked through the woods because of the tracks in the snow.
A few months later in early spring some lady called the cops and said there had been an abandoned motorcycle in her yard all winter. It appears the thief rode it until it ran out of fuel and dumped it. I sold it some time later to a guy I believe actually stole it. I only had a hunch but could never prove it.

I had a Puch moped stolen, at the mall back in the 80s.. I parked and locked it at the bike rack. I always suspected the mall cops of taking it because it was so close to the entry.
I have gap insurance so I'm really more worried about someone screwing with it and having to deal with with a messed up bike.
