Yea;remember those? I had one too, but don't remember if it was an Apple Crate,Orange Crate, or Lemon Peeler. Think it was apple. Springer front, rear suspension, and 5 on the bar. Also had a germanium radio mounted with one of those long whip CB antennas with the big spring on the bottom. Man, was I IT!!

I never had a sled stolen, but I know the feeling in the pit of your stomach. Bought my first new Harley 20 years ago;a '90 Softail Custom. I lived in an apt. in NYC,and rented a garage 3 blocks away. I was out riding one night, and had to take an emergency crap, no time to go to the garage, so I parked it on the sidewalk in front of my apt courtyard. Hell, it was around 2AM,figgered it would be safe. Took an express dump, went ousisde, and the first thing I noticed--NO BIKE!! Mystomach came out my mouth, I think I shouted "OH F@##$* & ran to the front of the courtyard. There was my buddy standing there with my bike, about 20 feet back from where he pushed it,laughing his *** off.

I never knew a fat man could run so fast.

Never had a motorcycle stolen, however, like lots of others, have had many bicycles stolen. Did have an engine stolen from my back porch though. I had just bought it from the junk yard & after picking it up & putting it down a couple of times I got tired in my back & did not have anyone to help at the moment, so, I left it on the porch, to give my back a rest, figured it was safe, but, on the third day, I'm not so young anymore, I went to move it--it was gone. Called the police & pretty much, they, said if they find it they'll let me know & I can claim it but, mostly, kiss it goodbye. To this day I have never been able to replace it....Bike theft sucks!

I had a 94 R6 stolen out of my driveway in 2004 in Indianapolis, in the years to follow I also had a 2003 Heritage Softail and 2004 Softail Deluxe stolen from down the street at the bar I worked at.

They found the neck from both parted out harleys in the lake and never heard anything else about my R6.

Had my '96 Fatboy stolen over night at the Laughlin River Run in '97 or '98. Bike was parked right in front of the casino along with hundreds of other Harley's. Other than that, Laughlin was a great time.

I will. i am pretty heartbroken myself. I didnt even get a chance to ride it. These guys can have these new bikes. They have never really ridden until they have mounted a shovel and felt that raw power. No poly or rubber engine mounts to keep it from vibrating. no EFI, just fire, fuel and oxygen at its finest.

Never had mine stolen but some riding bud's had a HD and a suzuki boulevard with trailers stolen down in SC. They found them the next morning on the side of the ride in NC on a trailer with a flat tire with 2 additional bikes. Thieves were too dumb to remember to steal a spare tire for their stolen trailer they used to steal 4 bikes.
