Default Passenger Asses

Are they that different than rider asses? Why do seats suck for the passenger? Put the passenger seat in the front and the rider seat in the back and then you'll have an uncomfortable rider. Ever seen a two up seat with the two seats the same? Am I making sense?

My first bike (79 Yamaha XS650) had a passenger seat that looked just like the rider seat.

Don't remember who made it, but it was a "Hang 2". Think I'll go try to find a pic.

Looked similar to this:

My wife says the passenger seat on my Ultra Classic is wonderful. I've never sat on it but I trust her judgement....hey....look who she married 37 years ago!

This is why you see so many FLHTC/U's on the road. My wife loves her seat on my FLHTCUI.

My wife actually thinks the 8" wide pillion I have is comfortable, but she's only had my NT's Badlander and the stock SG seats to compare them to.
And she's not been on the back for more than about 20-30 minutes at a time.

But if/when we start doing LONG rides with her as a passenger and not on her own bike, I figure I'll get the widest pillion that Mustang makes & that should the trick for her.

HD is all about sales, and the skinny passenger seat is designed to encourage passengers to buy their own bikes.

I nailed this one

After Spending almost $1k for the wife's comfort she is happy on our Heritage...

It took the touring seat, sissy bar pad, and floorboards to get her a decent ride...

My 07 Softail Custom has the King/Queen seat and it is the most comfortable seat for both of any bike that I have owned or ridden.

My wife seems very happy with the RK seat. She says it sure beats the crap out of others she rode on in the past.
