Never buying from J&P Cycles again

No need to be emotional about it when you make the call. But they should have a heads up that it is being sent back to them and why. It may help for your refund.

you haven' t been screwed, at least yet. inconvenienced? Oh yea!! but from what I know of J&P they will make it right, and **** happens, all of that looks like bad packing/bad shipper handling take a deep breath, call them, let them have the chance to take care of you, if they don't then flame them, in the meantime, let me buy ya a beer!!!

I have bought from JP, but only when I've been in Daytona, I've never had anything shipped from them. Do you think UPS could also be responsible for some of the damage? But then again if they packaged it better it would help also.

Vendors keep track of what goes on in shipping....An incident that goes unreported is not good...In other words, the screw-ups are unknown until a complaint is made!!!

I've had no problems with J&P except for one time. I ordered a new battery and when it arrived it was obvious it had been installed and to boot it was cracked. I called J&P and they apologized, sent me out a new battery right away, plus a free return shipping label for the bad battery. What I think happens is when parts get returned sometimes they get put in the wrong place and someone grabs them to send out thinking they are new.
As for the packaging that's odd, but I'd doubt it left J&P like that. Often the guys at FedX or UPS can be pretty rough on things.
If you search you'll find J&P generally gets good reviews and they fix things quickly when there is a screw up.
I mean it's not like they are Demons . . . LOL!

It's funny how sometimes you get a 2" part in a 12" box full of foam popcorn and bubble wrap, and then you get a 48" part in a 46" box with no padding. Not rocket science, but I think they cheap out on the larger parts.
