Default I need some paint work opinions (Please help!)

Forum,

For those that do not know me I have had many motorcycles through the years. I picked up my first HD several months ago and INSTANTLY started tearing it apart. I am close to where I want it now I still want to tweak the paint a bit.

I have had just about every bike that I've owned painted. I love the Black Cherry color on my RK so I am going to "gulp" leave it be. I am thinking of having my tattoo artist and painter do some subtle work on it. The bike currently has quite a few Willie G pieces and that is the theme I like.

Here is my bike currently:

I am thinking of removing the night train logos on the tank and having her hand paint this (about half the size of the current emblems.)

Here is some work she has done on my Victory. She hand painted the V and wings logo.

I would probably do something similar on the front and rear fenders as well.

I want something to keep with the "old school" theme without just doing pin striping like everyone else.

What are your thoughts? Should I leave her as is or go for it?

I was just last night, flippin' through a mag & saw somethin similar to a stock style metallic, which then faded into a color blocked custom emblem, & back into the stock style metallic. Very cool, I thought.

Normally, I would say keep everything as it is. In this case however, and since you want to do it so bad, and also because the V and wings were done tastefully, I say do the tank and fenders...

...However...

The bike looks so right just the way it is that I would either do physically small artwork or ghosted artwork that can just about be seen.

...AND...

No skulls. I have nothing against them, but you have invested so much time and talent into the scoots that it begs for something original. Plus, you already have the Willie G stuff. Flaming skulls, huge dice, grim reaper, ad infinitum, are just too ubiquitous. Just the way your bike says "I'm different from the other styled HDs" the paint should also.
Very nice job incidentally.

Thank you for the thought and kind words. Much appreciated.

I wont be able to "ghost effect" anything. That would require airbrushing and stripping the clear. I do not want to do either. This will be hand-painted on top of the current paint and clear like the V in the victory picture.

I would keep it as is! Never did care for the skulls! The V and wings are very well done and do look good!

I say keep it. Love the color, especially with the black add-ons.

I gotta say that I really like the color on the bike as it is.
