I think those big screaming eagle air breathers look stupid. But then, I like tassels.

I put them on just to annoy you. They work better than advertised.

Kinda like putting Screaming Eagle stuff on a bike that isn't a CVO. Huh?

Look at them as a survival tool. In a pinch, you can replace a boot or shoe lace. Or, use one to reattach the shift linkage where the bolt fell out. Or maybe even stitch up a tear in the seat cause by your wallet chain. Or if you're out in the boonies, tie some together and make a fishing pole to catch dinner. Or if you're attacked by some psycho and you're unarmed, you could rip one off and choke the dude out. And if you're really good and took basket-weaving in the past, you have an instant emergency drive belt right there on your bars.

They're not just for looks, ya know.

You are close but I use mine to tie my ladies wrist to the bars when that moment arrives. Real men know what to use leather straps for Oh, & she likes to tie me up once in a while too They make lake stops in the woods very memorable!

Just laced on black leather covers on my Wideglide levers but I do have laced on black leather covers with tassels on my Heritage levers. I like them and really that is all that matters. If they bother anyone badly enough I welcome them trying to remove them. Otherwise get over it. My motorcycles and no one else's approval is needed. Tit for tat on teasing but disrespect can get you some negative attention. I have only had one person ask me why I like them. My answer was I like to watch them float at speed in the wind.

Yet another word picture from HDF that can now never be unseen. I'm never going into the woods again.
