Default Road King owner's PSI concensus.....

Just curious what RK owners are running for front and rear PSI's. I'm doing 40#Rear and 36# front.....how about the rest, what's the concensus?

Didn't know they made ride-flat tires for bikes, (I need to get out more!) I'd like to hear more about that.

I ride solo also, the manual says 40 rear and 36 front, but I hear different pressures and I want to make sure I'm not running too light. I want the tires to last a long as possible so I thought a thread was needed. Besides I havn't posted a new thread yet and I need to for the inevitable future when I need help from the masses.

I just aired mine up last week, but can't remember what the psi was. I usually ride 2 up & have always gone by what's stamped on the tire. Are you sayin' that's incorrect?

No because I've been going by the manual, but I read threads that show PSI's that are all over the place (usually within reason). With this thread, I wanted to build a database of consensus #'s to see what everyone is using to compare with my strategy and see if an adjustment is warranted. For now I'm not going by what the tire says because it gives maximum pressures. The manual gives pressures according to payload/ passenger etc. so you'll need to go by what your total weight between you and the Mrs. are.

I don't know about Road Glides, but there have been other threads on this site where folks are running 42/42 with stock Dunlops, which is what I run.

My manual says 36/36. That is what I run.
